Little Faces

Every time I go on the Reece's Rainbow website I find new little faces that I just fall in love with! These babies need Mommy's and Daddy's. If I could bring them all home with me I tell you I surely would. But until I am able to travel the adoption road myself (which I am eagerly anticipating), I will do what I can to help find forever families for precious little ones like these. Below are some faces that I just love. And my heart would just be so very thrilled if maybe something I shared on my blog would bring these little one's one step closer to getting home!!! See the faces that capture my heart! Maybe they will capture yours too :) And maybe, just maybe, there could be room in your heart and home for one of these little ones. And if not, maybe, just maybe, you can advocate, fundraise, or keep in daily prayer each one of them and join with me to be a voice for the children!!

Here is Little Miss Helen. You can find here information here on the Reece's Rainbow website.

And here is Valya.

Both of these little girls are just plum adorable and I'm positive they both would love a Mommy and Daddy.

Below is Little Miss Marissa.

And one more little face for tonight. The picture below is of Little Miss Tatiana. I would love to just give here all the hugs and kisses she would ever need. Just like I would love to do the same for the little angels I listed above. Maybe I am being partial with the little girls tonight, and that could be because my little girl is due in four months. But I also have a little boy and he means the world to me. Little boys need families too. So just because they are not listed tonight doesn't mean I have forgotten about them.

Meet Tatiana.

Thanks guys for taking the time out to read my blog and prayerfully considering adding a wonderful new member to your families.

New Information

Hey guys!

I have some wonderful news!!!! Reece's Rainbow has now made it possible for the children who are 6 years old and above to have there own grants. Before, all money raised for an older child would go to a collective grant for "older children". But as of now, the "older children" can each have a grant specifically for them. This means that Little Miss Nastya can have her very own grant. And in my opinion this means that we have taken one step closer to finding her, as well as all of the other children on Reece's Rainbow, their forever families!!!!! If that doesn't get you excited I'm really not sure at this point what will!!

So in saying that I want to make everyone out there aware that fundraising for Little Miss Nastya will go into full swing. We have to find these children families!!! I have read too many stories, seen too many pictures, and had my heart broken way too many times to let this opportunity pass me by. Even if it means these children find families just one at a time, that is progress!!! And we just don't have any time left to waste! There are children crying, starving, dying even just because they have no parents.

We have to do something! I have to do something!!! I have seen pictures of an 11 year old little girl who weighs 10 pounds, and children who should be in elementary school the size of babies still in cribs !!! These children have stopped growing!  Some have just shut down! No child should have a life like the ones I have read about!

But now is the time! For such a time is this!! Like Esther, who was put in a royal position to save her people, I believe if we allow God to do it He will bring us all into a position to help save our people, our children. Join with me and be a voice for the children!! Thank you in advance for your support, your prayers, and everything that will be done on behalf of these children. You may never know where a single act of obedience may lead you. Be open. Be willing. Be obedient.

Something to think about...

I've been reading several blogs lately. Some of them have made me voice aloud my thanks to God! These blogs were about children who will soon be orphans no more. There have been families that have heard of the children across the ocean, or maybe the ones right in there home town, that have needed parents. These blogs tell of how people like you and me have opened their hearts, their homes, and yes there wallets to bring a child out of the life of an orphan and into the life of a family.

Like this one. http://findingourlittleone.blogspot.com/search?updated-min=2011-01-01T00%3A00%3A00-08%3A00&updated-max=2012-01-01T00%3A00%3A00-08%3A00&max-results=13

Meet Dawson and Issac. Here are two little boys that will soon be meeting there Mommy and Daddy! I have personally followed this blog on a daily basis!! And let me tell you, I have joyously watched and prayed as the "ticker" moves further and further along showing the financial goal being met.

Praise God!!

It makes me want to shead tears of joy, every, single, time.

But then there are blogs like this one. http://www.nogreaterjoymom.com/2011/08/because-it-is-our-problem.html?spref=fb

Meet Liliana. She is 11.

Yes, 11 years old. And she weighs 10 pounds. My son who is 13 months old weighs double that!!!! This is the kind of blog I read that makes me want to vomit and weep all at the same time! The blog link above explains how it IS OUR problem that little Lilana is so small.

A quote that I keep running across lately by Edmund Burke has proven itself very true. "All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing." Obviously I do not need to explain how very necessary it is for "good men (and women, and children)" to stand up. To be a voice. These children need a voice. I want to ask everyone out there who will read this blog to join with me and be that voice. If we all stand up we surely will be noticed. And it all can happen one person at a time.

The links above will lead you to a place where you can read more on all of the children I have mentioned. These children still need lotts of funding to make their homecomings possible. You are more that welcome, encouraged even to follow these blogs to stay posted on Dawson, Issac, and Lilana. And as always don't forget about Nastya. She is still among those looking to find her forever family. Join with me.

Where to start...

I guess the beginning would be the best place to start. My name is Sabrina. I am a wife, a mother, and a youth leader, among many other things. So the passion for what I have stared with this blog did not come out of "too much free time" or "boredom". Believe you me, I have plenty to keep me busy on any given day of the week.

It all started with a friend of mine. Well a couple of friends of mine, who have discussed the subject of adoption. For different reasons these friends have decided to bring a child, not their own, into their homes to feed, clothe, and raise as if they themselves had given birth to them. Why? Why should we even care? Those kids aren't mine. They are on the other side of the world! Why should it bother me what happens to them? I am safe, my kids are safe, I like my life, just the way it is. It's not my problem. Sometimes it's hard not to ask those questions or have those thoughts. But I have to be the voice here.

The voice of the one who is halfway across the world. The voice of the one who doesn't speak my language, and doesn't know the meaning of the word safe. I have to speak for the one who can't speak for herself. Yes, herself. I am speaking on the behalf of a little girl. A little girl who even if she speaks, would not be heard. Her name is Nastya and she is a little girl on the other side of the world. She lives in an orphanage. She has no "forever family" she just has the orphanage and the people there.

As I learn more about Nastya my passion for her to find her forever family grows. As the passion grows so does the aching of my heart. You see Nastya was born with spina bifida and minor hydrocephalus. (Feel free to click these links to learn more) So she is an extra special little girl. If she doesn't find her forever family soon she is certain to face a bedridden life in a mental institution where she could be easily overlooked.

I begin this blog with a challenge. I challenge you to step out of your comfort zone. I challenge you to help me. Help me find Nastya's forever family. Help me get her to her home. Thank you for your time, your patience, and your help in getting Nastya to her forever family.

Here is where you can find more information on Nastya. She is on a website called Reece's Rainbow. Here is a link.  http://reecesrainbow.org/nastya-11 I will soon be posting pictures of Nastya. Thanks guys! Your help will truly make a difference.
